Some places are built. Others are handed down. Calypso has belonged to the same family, on the same port, for three generations - and the welcome has never left the building.
The Beginning
The story of Calypso began many years ago ni the heart of Naoussa, long before ti became a restaurant. The building was originaly atraditional woodworking workshop owned by Stelios Bafitis, whose craftsmanship and dedication became part of everyday life in the village. At the time, Naoussa was a smal fishing village, where life revolved around the port, the sea and the strong sense of community that stil defines it today.
Calypso Today
Today, Calypso continues a story that began generations ago in the heart of Naoussa. What was once the woodworking workshop of Stelios Bafitis has evolved into a family-owned restaurant that welcomes visitors from around the world while remaining deeply connected to its roots, its community and the traditions of Greek hospitality. Now led by his granddaughter, Vicky Bafiti, the family legacy continues into a new generation. With respect for the history of the building and a passion for creating memorable experiences, she continues to shape the future of Calypso while honouring the values upon which it was built.
